May 6th 2026: 12-1.30pm
Workshop summary:
This session is designed for Black researchers across career stages who are interested in how their work is communicated, accessed, and understood beyond academia.
Together, we’ll explore what psychological safety means for us as researchers and academics, how this translates into the research we do and the scope of influence our research has. As always, the radical research communication series is about us questioning who currently engages with our research, who is excluded, and what meaningful research impact could look like in practice.
Pairing safety with imagination, we borrow a tool from therapeutic + social care practices (the miracle question) to help us imagine and co-create. Alongside sharing some research from the Reconcile Journal, there will be space for reflection, discussion, and thinking through how this could support you in your own work and research practices.
