Welcome to Reconcile Digest #12. I’m so glad you’re here.
This week, we’re reviewing research on a topic that is the centre of constant conversation among those it affects, yet remains significantly underrepresented in scientific understanding: women’s experiences of pain.

It felt important to share visuals of the research itself (rather than one of our usual translated summaries) because I want us to get used to seeing the research and recognising that it is where SO many critical questions are being asked.
Researchers are living it, then researching it, and these papers are a great place to start, so we can talk about it.

full access to today’s references + questions for reflection
Something to consider:
Who should be most invested in understanding the experiences of pain in women? Who else should be involved in these conversations?
Why is pain such a difficult health experience to manage or talk about?
What would help reduce the patterns shared in the above papers?
until next time
