Welcome to Reconcile Digest #9. I’m so glad you’re here.

As I shared in our first update of the year (posted on Monday), this month we have a back-to-basics research series. We begin today with a classic psychology model created over 60 years ago (!) that suggests how people go from strangers, to smooth, high-functioning groups, and we also introduce a newer, more reflective alternative too. We look at the roles people play, conflict, and what comes out at the other end.

Once you start noticing group dynamics, it’s hard to ignore

When I say groups, think lovers, friends, extended/blended families, colleagues, teams…the list goes on! Researching group dynamics is like a bottomless pit, so welcome to the very beginning of this research rabbit hole. Enjoy!
