Welcome to Reconcile Digest #21. I’m so glad you’re here! We are back after a short summer hiatus, and have returned with an expansive question for us to consider:
What counts as research?
This is a simple digest in two parts:

1) we start with a historical research paper that asked the same question back in 1981 (full access to the original paper downloadable at the end),
2) we end with a visual essay; some sources that might help you formulate your own answer to this question.
If you have any answers on what counts as research, leave a comment at the end of the post (when viewing on our website) or email us back. The more poetic, the better.
This is a question we feel deserves to be debated, or at the very least, considered.

Do we agree with Stenhouse (1981)
